The Assistant Manager, Civil will be responsible for leading and coordinating civil engineering activities across assigned EPC projects, with a primary focus on civil construction and steel structure erection. The role will oversee project planning, execution, progress monitoring, contractor coordination, cost and billing-related activities, QA/QC, HSE compliance, and project documentation from mobilization through testing, commissioning, and final handover. The position will work closely with internal functions, clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and effective project execution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute detailed civil project plans, schedules, work methodologies and resource plans for assigned EPC projects.
- Coordinate civil works including site development, foundations, drainage, access roads, boundary walls and related infrastructure.
- Plan and coordinate steel structure erection activities for project structures.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets and milestones and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate with Factory, SCM/Procurement and site implementation teams for effective project execution.
- Review BOQs, quantities, project costs, variations, contractor bills and supporting documents in coordination with Commercial and Finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements, HSE standards and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning and final project handover with relevant technical teams and stakeholders.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities and internal functions to ensure smooth project execution.
- Identify project risks, constraints and execution issues and implement timely mitigation measures.
- Conduct project/site review meetings and maintain progress reports, look-ahead plans, risk updates and project documentation.
- Assist in IPC/Billing activities, including site certification and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate Project Engineers, Site Engineers, Supervisors and Contractors to ensure effective project execution.
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc)
