Job Description:

Association For Alternative Development (AFAD) is looking for a suitable candidate for the Position.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and expenditure tracking.
  2. Accounts Management: Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and accounting systems in accordance with organizational policies and international accounting standards.
  3. Reporting and Compliance: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for donors, management, and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with donor requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  4. Budget Monitoring: Monitor project budgets, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
  5. Audit and Grant Management: Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records and transactions are properly documented and auditable.

Capacity Building: Provide financial guidance and training to project staff and partners on financial procedures and compliance issues.

Academic Qualifications:
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Concentration/Major: Accounting/Management/BBS Pas
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Concentration/Major: Accounting/Management/BBS Pas

Others Requirements:
  1. Age: 30 - 40 years

  4. Area of Expertise: Accounting & Finance, Financial analysis
  5. Additional Requirements: 1. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial management and accounting, preferably within the nonprofit sector or international organizations. 2. Proven experience in budget preparation, financial analysis, and grant management. 3. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting requirements, and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). 4. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. Tally). 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English & Bengali. 6. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. 7. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.
