Deputy HR Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy HR Manager to support the effective management of human resources at Cowbell Kefir Limited. The role will assist in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, supporting recruitment and performance management processes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws, while contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process for the different units, including job posting, CV screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
  2. Manage appointment letters, onboarding, orientation programs, ID card issuance, and exit procedures, ensuring smooth employee transitions and complete documentation.
  3. Handle daily HR operations including attendance, leave management, late arrivals, and employee movements; ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  4. Prepare and analyze HR reports such as turnover, absenteeism, overtime summaries, resignation lists, new recruitment lists, and comparative HR data.
  5. Developing, implementing, and updating HR policies, procedures, and internal processes.
  6. Maintain, update, and organize employee personal files and HR documentation (both physical and digital).
  7. Prepare official HR documents including office orders, memos, show-cause notices, warning letters, and other correspondence as required.
  8. Draft routine HR communications for internal circulation and support corporate communication initiatives.
  9. Coordinate training programs and assist in evaluating performance reports, scorecards, and talent development initiatives.
  10. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, Bangladesh Labor Law, and HR best practices.
  11. Monitor probation periods, confirmations, and support performance management activities.
  12. Handle employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, leave, and general HR matters.
  13. Payroll inputs, attendance verification, and related HR coordination.
  14. Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
  15. Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
  16. Conducts investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
  17. Monitors and advises employees in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitors the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
  18. Any other task assigned by management.

Academic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom)
  • Concentration/Major: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a reputable university.
Professional Certifications:
  • Professional HR certification will be an added advantage.

    • Needs to have considerable knowledge/ understanding of Human Resource Management & Corporate policy.
    • Comfortable in both a leadership and team-player role.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
